As a business, we are committed to working with partners to help communities improve energy efficiency, tackle fuel poverty and regenerate their local areas. Our initiatives create safer, warmer homes, improve lives and offer a better future for residents. We have developed and delivered projects, training and other initiatives to help five million households currently living in fuel poverty. In October 2012, British Gas launched a five-year partnership with Shelter, the housing and homelessness charity, to improve the living conditions for one million British households.
Our people are passionate about making a difference in their local community too and help with everything from reading support in schools, to volunteering at their local Shelter shop, to sharing their skills and expertise with community organisations.
