When you join us you’ll receive all the training you need to do your job to the best of your ability. This begins with an induction day: a fun and interactive way to learn about Centrica and British Gas Business, as well as our customers and the industry as a whole. For many roles this will lead into an extensive period of industry and systems training, as well as behavioural-based training focusing on our customers and your particular role. This can last anything from a couple of days to five weeks, depending on the complexity of your new role.

And learning doesn’t end when you leave the classroom. In a fast-paced industry such as ours, ongoing training plays a major role in keeping up-to-date and on-the-ball. We also like to help you develop into new roles via courses and one-to-one coaching – whether that’s a step towards management, or sideways into another area of the business. This is vital not only to your development but also to keep skills within the organisation.

We keep a close eye on our future talent through regular development activities that look at people’s strengths and weaknesses. We then build these into your personal development plan.
